Hello! My name is Ben Westbrook. I am an ENT surgeon and I have been practicing here in El Paso since 2013.
I am comfortable managing most head and neck pathology (no spine or brain issues). I have a particular interest in the following types of surgery and disease processes:
I began my career as a nurse in 2002. I worked in various settings such as ICU, medical/surgical, dermatology, allergy, and nephology. I attended Angelo State University, where I received my Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) & Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP)– graduating with honors. I received clinical training in ENT and the primary care settings to provide care to families and individuals across the lifespan. I am also a UTEP graduate with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing.
I am excited to be working with Dr. Westbrook and the rest of the team as I share the same goals and values in providing “top-notch care, continuing education, and improving patient’s quality of life.

I am proud to say I was raised in El Paso and will always be considered my home. I earned my Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing (BSN) from New Mexico State University in 2008 and began my nursing career working in the Emergency Department in Massachusetts. Six years later, I moved back to El Paso and continued working in the Emergency Department while finishing my Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) with a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) concentration from Texas Tech Health Sciences Center in Lubbock in 2017. I then began my career as an FNP in sleep medicine at the El Paso Sleep Center.
I received my Doctor of Nursing Practice degree with honors at The University of Texas at El Paso in 2021. During my time at the El Paso Sleep Center, I became responsible for managing all patients in El Paso implanted with Inspire, an upper airway stimulator that treats obstructive sleep apnea without a CPAP. I was the first provider in the state of Texas and New Mexico certified in Inspire’s Care Pathway in 2019, and in 2023, I was the first nurse practitioner in the country to be awarded Inspire’s Provider of Excellence award based on my patient’s outcomes.
I am now excited to have joined Dr. Westbrook and his team and to contribute my experience to the high quality of care that patients have come to know and expect at El Paso Head and Neck Surgery Clinic. Yo hablo Español!
